Hi!
I recently bought this TLR camera and everything seems to be clear, apart from one part. The lever marked with an arrow in the French manual is something connected with ,,arming the shutter", however, I'm not familiar with this term nor the French language (dictionary won't help).
Could anyone clarify what should it be used for? Whether up or down, it seems to not affect the shutter work on all times.
I would be most grateful for any help!

Looking at it could it be the equivalent of a DOF preview button
In that I closes the appature down so that you see the DOF

Arming the shutter , is, I believe, "cocking the shutter".

That is for flash sync mode as the F X is labeled below it.
