Seriously laughing OMFG!!!

Where can you buy one for under $50?

Yes, but that's not a genuine Canon adaper...and more importantly, it looks like is does not have any glass in it...which means that you would loose infinity focus on any lens attached to it.

The original Canon adapter has high quality optics in it to compensate for the thickness of the adapter. It was made specifically for pro photographers who were heavily invested in Canon FD glass...who were understandably pissed off when Canon dropped the FD line of lenses when EOS became the primary SLR for Canon. These were apparently never available for sale to the general public...making them rare.

I have heard that there are 3rd party adapters that do allow infinity focus but I have never heard good things about the quality of the optics used in them.

I'm not sure if it has glass in it. It may do. If it doesn't then it shouldn't be any different from the Canon one. If it has then it may not be as good. But near enough.
Oh, £49.99 = $93.91
