It is difficult to see what interested you in this shot; imo, this doesn't have enough impact as a subject to come across as a strong photo.

This was on a floating house in the middle of a swamp.............it was the last thing in the world that I thought you would see...................but as for a story in a photo I agree its just a old sewing machine, but with fond memories for me

Unfortunately we can't see the swamp or the floating house to give it context.
Perhaps a much wider shot would have made more impact; to provide a bit of normalcy in an otherwise unusual scene to provide the viewer with some way to see that no matter how people live, some of the way they live is just like us.
