Inclined to agree with you... on another note. does anyone think it would be a good idea to get a shot of the deck in the rain? would the shiny deck surface add to the pic? or would the mist from the moving cars ruin it? i don't want to drive out the island if its going to be crap. i would zoom in with the 200mm and stitch a vertical pano together...

I would think you'd still want to be higher than the deck to gain the proper perspective.

I like the idea of this shot. I am not sure about how the mist would affect it, but it may be worth a try. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing the results!
