Hi Desi , A nice photo of the GBH . It's a touch dark on my monitor ,what does your histogram look like? I for one like a darker Photo BG ,as it hides some of the busy Bg.
On a Side note ,The first time I went to Shark Valley I Had an Argus III ,35mm. 40 years ago . The school took us there every year for a fieldtrip ,and Alligators were on the endangered list . It was a different Time /World .

Yes, it is on the dark side. It was a stylistic choice. I wanted to convey the time of day and, as you said, make the BG less of an issue. It looks brighter in lightroom than it does via Flickr. I suppose, as with stylistic choices, whether it "works" depends on the viewer.

That must've been great growing up with a yearly trip to Shark Valley.
