You would use the hot shoe on the top of your camera.

The D3200 does not have CLS Commander mode.
Group B Chanel 11 would be set on a slave unit. A camera body of master flash that has Commander mode is then needed to actually send signals/adjustments to that remote flash unit.

Yes, using flash adds an additional level of complexity, and iTTL flash is much more complex to learn than just doing manual flash.

Buy a speedlite. YOu are talking more like ISO 12800 than 1000. A speedlite that tilts and swivels allowing you to bounce and some time spent on Strobist will step your game up much!

Will be at Nov 24. Two weeks later basicly. So you are suggesting a flash too? Should I use it on a camera or at a tripod? (and if a tripod which one should I buy? then I need a bag for it too. -_- Damn this is a pricey hobby! )

I would get the speedlight as suggested but I think you may benefit from at least a monopod to help steady the camera as well. I think for this event, the monopod would be a better choice than a tripod. It will allow for some stability but not take up too much room. IMHO.

This is so damn complicated... Where am I gonna put the hotshoe? There will be seats and such and I don't even know if I'm gonna be at the first row.. (I can be rude and take a spot there though..)

I don't see where anyone answered the hotshoe question. Your camera has a hotshoe already; behind the pop-up flash. The built-in flash is not intended for the kind of shoot you will be facing; it will be totally in-adequate at those distances. You would have the foreground lit up and your subject in darkness. Get the speedlight.. learn to use it properly and you should be ok. good luck. This is not an easy assignment

Okay, okay, so let me get this straight:

1. I should buy the flash, but I cant conrtol it externaly? If i put it on the camera it will work properly or does it need some other stuff? How does this flash work? I just attach it and be happy, it works now?
2. I should buy a monopod to increase sharpness and more stability! (I dunno, I still like the tripod better )

A lot of the technical questions you are asking are answered in the manual for your camera and for any flash you might be buying.

Yes, a flash will likely improve your photography, if you read it's manual and practice. Most of the images in your deviant art gallery would have benefitted from additional lighting.

The second most important camera accessory, after a lens, is a flash, the best you can afford.

You have do a bit of the research work yourself you know. The forum is a handy place to come look for advice and the members are for the most part happy to help. But you also have to make an effort. A question such as 'where is the hotshoe' is answered at the very beginning of your manual. You say you have been learning your camera and have photographed an event where you took 'lots of pictures', I don't want to sound like a grouchy adult but you should have had some of these fairly basic questions figured out by now.

Anyway, as others have pointed out, get yourself a flash, the best you can afford, and start practicing. You have 11 days left.

That was a language mistake on my part. The main questions was how to shoot good prom photos given the circumtenses. Tips, ideas, pictures. Anything. Then the flash topic came up.

So, let me finalize this:

1. Buy a good flash (I liked the SB700) + batteries.
2. Buy a tripod/monopod (I like tripods better, since I'll be doing cosplay photography in the future. Oh and can I get recommendation regarding this? What would you guys buy?)

3. The batteries for the flash.

And that's it so far! What do you think guys? Do I need anything more? Quite pricey, but I hope that's all I need to buy for a loooong time...
