The goal is to make the senior the center of interest in the photos, not to make the background or any props the center of interest.

So use the K.I.S.S. method.

Old doorways are used to frame the subject, not be the subject.

Investigate what is called an 'environmental portrait'. Since she plays soccer, some shots of her in her uniform and a soccer ball in and around a soccer goal could be another location.

As I am out and about, I'm always keeping my eyes peeled for possible shoot locations.
