Great job on the shots & edit. The music fit the piece.
A few suggestions: Add more shots with a POV that you had at 1:14, 1:26 & 1:36. When someone is moving across the screen, give more space in the direction they are moving when framing the shot. Add shots at the beginning of the skaters getting ready, closeups, the gear. This will add some anticipatory feel. Maybe a shot of the empty skate park? There were a few shots of a person's face smiling, maybe a few more of these to give a personal feel.
Were you skating while filming? I did like the moving the shots. Try gliding during the shot for smoothness.
I noticed the upload was in 1080p. If you create a project of 720p and use the 1080p footage there will be a little room to scale or crop to give better framing in post. The upload would then have to be 720p. (You do not want to scale up video.)
My personal preference is the simple cut and I think it works for your video. The only time I use a transition is the dip to black and that is only used to show a transition of time. For example, a school performance where the clips are 10 minutes each. The dip to black between performers. For short 3 minute projects with lots of clips I use the simple cut.
