Shot from today...

SO here is my winter shot. Made an HDR from one RAW but got some noise and didn't feel like playing around with the sky so I left it dark. And also one shot for TPF Don't need C&C on the second one

yea I wasn't even trying on the second one. Just wrote TPF took the shot and kept on going. The first one it the only one that should be commented, the second one is a dedication to TPF. It shows how addicted I am lol

I like the first one. Did you resize the image so it's skinnier? Either way, it's definitely interesting.

I just resized it to post on here. It seems "skinny" because I used my 10-20mm at 10mm.

I love your use of converging lines on the first one. The tops of the buildings, the trees, the cars, the tire tracks, all converge to the vanishing point. Good eye.

The dark sky and slight underexposure help establish a somber mood. I think it works well for this photo.

I also like the fact that there's no people in the shot. This also contributes to the mood.

My only complaint is that the tree branches near the top of the shot appear slightly soft, especially in the top left corner. But then again you did mention your 10-20mm was @ 10mm, so some softness is to be expected. What aperture did you use?

yea couldn't help the softness, and also the quality is a little low due to the resizing.

There is a good amount of photographers from brooklyn and the other boroughs. you just have to find them BTW I live in Greenpoint, the northernmost of Brooklyn.
