A black pillow, actually.
I shot these photos a couple of weeks after I got my DSLR, so I am aware they're nothing spectacular, as I myself am still quite new to using such a camera.
What do you think I could have done better? What should I look for next time I do a close-up of an object?
Both are shot with 2 sec exposure in a completely dark room; f/5.6 and I've used my cellphone flash to add lighting from the topside. Also, using the starter-kit lens: 18-55 vario standard entry-level Canon pack.
