Sigma 50mm F1.4

If this new 50mm has a build quality like their 30mm F1.4....it will pretty darn good.

There are some focus issues with many of them, but I would think that's more of a tolerance / quality control problem that build quality.

I've looked at the early Spec's and it says it will work with Sony.... but I'm not sure if my camera has a HSM AF on it. Any help?

You can say that again...My 70-200 f2.8 was replaced after being diagnosed as having a 3cm front-focus throughout the range. Sigma Japan sent me a replacement Mark II lens, that suspiciously enough, didn't look as if it was focusing properly either.
A Sigma distributor here determined that it has...wait for it...a whopping 7cm front focus. This is of course after Sigma Japan assured me that the replacement was hand picked by their QA, and they are confident that i would be satisfied this time.
Yeah right...Never ever touching their products again.
