Sigma 70-210mm f/4-5.6 - is it recognize Nikon D5100

Sigma 70-210mm f/4-5.6 UC - 1993
It has Nikon F mount and connector pin. Will it recognize modern camera like Nikon D5100, D5200, D5300. I was wandering this 1993s lens recognize modern dslr.
I am aware about fact that it won't auto focus.

Put it on the camera if you can, and see if the camera communicates...it might work okay. it might not. But I think it could work. Set the aperture ring to A.
