I found this on keh last night in exceptional + quality for only $40,
seemed like a good deal to me so I got it. My question now is the (55) in the description means the
filter ring size correct? Now my Canon Rebel k2 the kit lens that size is
58. I just wanted to make sure that this didn't effect the mount size
because i was looking on google and it seems that it still has the
same mount size as all the canon eos bodies. thanks

Filters go on the front, the mount is on the back, they're unrelated. A canon fit lens will work on a canon camera. As it happens (AND I COULD BE WRONG!) I believe that lens has a 52mm filter size.

yes it does have a 52mm filter and fits fine on my camera. It just came a few days ago. And when it didnt work i called keh about it and its actually for an older model of canon. So now I can either return it or call sigma which im doing today and try to find out if they have the chip still in stock so they can rechip it
