Sikh man at parade

Sikh man at parade - nothing momentous, just that his ability to hold the balloon and maintain his elegant demeanor was impressive. They were a friendly group and we talked about tourism in India for a while.

I was hoping to see his kirpan.

My immediate response was to be that anyone showing their kirpan in downtown DC would get arrested but I decided not.....

My guess is that parade rules allow no displayed weapons.

I know a number of Sikhs and they all carry such dignity. Your Sikh is no different.

We have the largest Sikh community outside the homeland in the USA. I saw this video and was truly impressed.




Unfortunately, recently some young guys assaulted a man and he was not only brutally beaten but they cut his hair with a knife.
