Silly Question

New guy here....starting off with a silly question.I'm getting ready to enter a contract with a video seo company and I will be making my own video clips and they will edit add meta tags and post to various sites. They are telling me that some video recorders "compress" images when they are stored and that when those images are uploaded the quality suffers? Huh ? So what video camera should I buy to do these that won't break the bank and still get good quality videos?

One that doesn't compress the files?

This is a photography forum. Most people here use DSLR's to shoot stills.

Granted video is just a lot of stills but.......

I'm sure there are some here shooting video, but I'd bet you would get a broader range of info if you posted your query on a video forum.
