Sir Alex Ferguson is retiring!

Man, after so many years, he's finally stepping down as manager (when the season is over). To me, ManU IS Alex Ferguson; he's been the manager for longer than I have been alive! Without doubt, he's the best manager in history.

The question is, though, who'll be replacing him?

Looks like Moyes and i think its the right choice. They need another long term manager and not a 3 season wonder

It would be cool if Solskjær took over (in time). At the moment, though, he has enough to avoid degradation with Molde

Please, please, pretty please NOT Michael Laudrup. I'm a Swansea fan and it would make a nice change to actually keep hold of a young and promising manager for more than one or two seasons! It's nice that the Swans will be forming the guard of honour for UTD as they are presented with the league trophy on Sir Alex's last home game as manager. I hope we can give them the game he deserves!

I only get to see the occasional ManU game here in the US but it seems that Kevin Rooney's star has dimmed and Van Persie gets all the goals (and the press) up front.

Is that a misconception?

Wayne Rooney has scored a dozen goals this season, only about half the number scored by Robin van Persie, but no mean feat in the Premier League all the same. No doubt though that van Persie is the man of the moment and the darling of the press. That having be said, Miguel Michu has scored 17 goals in the league for Swansea this season, and only cost them around 2 million! He is considered the bargain of the decade (Sir Alex apparently vented his chargrin at not having been told about him before Swansea snapped him up!) He picked up a hamstring injury in the game against Man City at the Liberty stadium recently though, and as a result is unlikely to be pitting his wits against Robin this Sunday at Old Trafford - more's the pity!

I'm not sure where they'd find anyone like Ferguson.
I mean where could you get someone so miserable, ignorant, arrogant, self centred, all on one person.
And that's only his good points....
