My friend wanted portraits of her daughters and this is how they turned out. The baby was wanting to play instead of lookin at the camera. Any feedback is appreciated... I need to know if there is anything wrong with the pictures and what I could do to fix them. Thank you so much!

Cute kids, but every single one of the pictures is ruined by the background, 1 and 3 also have blown highlights.

The selective color is a very bad 'style'; the children look grey and who gives a crap about the the dress and the bubbles.

The images are in selective coloring because that is how my friend wanted them. I am new to photography so I am not sure what MWC photoshop action means, can you please explain it further?
