Obviously, this was from the colder months. Middle of February.
I do not miss the snow.

Snow is tricky, and this one doesn't do it for me. The snow on the table dissappears into the background, giving me some sort of a wierd vibe. but more importantly, I had to look really close to define her leg from the snowman which, without any detail in it, looks like just a white hole in the photo with some sunglasses photoshopped in. I think it's an interesting concept that could be worked. Just need some work on the snow.

Always good to see people freezing for art, especially when they're not me.

I agree the snowman needs a little more detail, but beyond that, I think there's too much area on the left. Both subjects are "facing" to the right and there is also a more interesting background there (birds, tree silhouettes). Cropping this right up to that small tree in the center so it sort of becomes a vertical would be better, imo, but the best thing would have been to shoot it as a horizontal with that small tree near the left edge. Of course you'll probably tell me there was a dumpster just to the right, but I can only work with the info I have.

Common, there is a winter and snow in Tasmania now. Just joking.
Picture is cool, on all accounts. I like the idea very much and the execution in warm tones to. Sure, pic is underexposed, but that happened, when you trust your camera light meter entirely and the whole thing is out of balance. I think I know, why you choose this particular composition. You can crop like Ken suggests, to vertical, just to save something from this frame, but we know it will destroy the idea of the picture. I know, you can't reshoot it. Damn photography, it's here and now, record of the moment.

I was really bored ..my camera isn't in the shop& I have taken other photos. Was just curious what you thought about this particular one. From now on I'll remember to post only photos I've taken in the last 24hrs. Thanks for that.

There wasn't a dumpster to the left .. I will be honest, didn't even think of anything you guys are suggesting or else I would have done it myself& had a much better photo It was for a self-portrait challenge some blogger or another was hosting. I seriously need to work on not having everything in one corner/ side in my photos. Thanks, folks.

I like this photo. It's quirky and fun, yet subtly intriguing and more than a little sexy. The dark sky and ravens and dark trees contrast nicely with the playful, smiling subject. Bare feet in the snow? That's something I do, too! Hehe.. Here, it adds an unexpected element, a warm carefree mood to an otherwise buttoned-up chilly scene. This girl isn't going to let a little snow and gloom darken her attitude for even a minute. What sexy confidence! This all holds my attention very well.

I agree with the technical criticisms mentioned already, so there are things to bear in mind for next winter when you hopefully will give this a second shot. And I really hope you do!
