looking for CC.. mainly on editing.. is it too bold for a newborn photograph? too contrasty? do I need to try to soften this up? its the first I've edited from the session. any other CC welcome too!

Tad bit too constrasty....I would try to wrap the blanket or whatever the fabric is around. What I mean by that, is the piece thats goes off into no mans land.

I find that a tad distracting and leads my eye away from the focal.

Other than that. You have a great image.

A closer crop on the babies face in one. Such a jewel, show it.
in two maybe crop closer to the hand.

lol lots of babies are born with hairy little bodies and they lose most of it. my son had a hairy back when he was born

Cute smile. I'd tilt it a bit more, crop in on the smile, and de-sat the pink some. The smile is, to me, the point of the image. All the other space and trailing fabric distract from it.

Super cute, but they do look a tad bit too contrasty. The crops don't bother me..I like full body baby shots.
