Small bird

[Goontz]

Shot these over the weekend from the porch on our lake house. I'm not sure what kind of bird it is, maybe a young blue jay (it was pretty small) and haven't had a chance to look at a book to identify it; maybe someone can help in that regard?

I'm sort of undecided on them. Without going into my own reasons/uncertainties, any C&C is much appreciated.

White Breasted Nuthatch maybe?

Hmmm... seems a bit out of focus. Anyone agree?

Possibly. I might add that this was around Lake Livingston/Trinity River, near Huntsville, TX though. The region on that site doesn't seem quite right, but not far off.

Thanks - part of my concern. I had several other shots that were definitely out of focus but these ones were the best.
