Took a drive today wasn't a lot to see but stopped and took this photo.

1st photo - Slower speed and changed the temp to warm up the photo.

2nd photo - Sped up the speed to 1/5000 and cooled the temp down for a different effect.

With cold shots I personally like image 2, it feels colder, so the image is doing what you want from it, Image 1 looks like a sepia filter on the lens, I would have a go at a Mono conversion as with the snow we think B&W in the image

Hi KJ

It's good to see someone who experiments with the image in the camera - and I agree with Steve that image #2 fits the snowfall scene better than #1
Got any more?

Phil

Thanks Phil. I like the 2nd as well.

Sorry the first images you posted had something, these newer ones just don’t do anything, No rules applied etc, I personally would love the environment to get in close and get some detail, sorry they just don’t work for me

I honestly felt the same way, i was reaching for something to capture that day and nothing really presented itself.

Here's more, then: I prefer the top image. Both have the appealing composition. But I just love warm tones over gray and white like that. It still has a cool feel, but it's broken up on the sides of the frame. Yum. It might be worthwhile to bump the contrast just a bit.

I prefer that version even to the straight B&W.

My two cents, and it seems I'm the outlier here. ;)
