I've been looking for owls around here for the last little while and finally last night we heard one right beside the house! No clue what kind of owl it was but can't wait to find out

Nice! The only place I've ever gone and actually seen a lot of owls was in Okefenokee Swamp iin Georgia. There are Barred Owls all over that place. Sadly, I didn't have a capable lens when I was down there and have no good shots. Well done - owls are not easy subjects.
