Umm, no. I have a rooted nook that boots off the sd card into either stock EMMC FW or boots CM9 nightlies. I would have the same functionality, just with a keyboard and bigger screen. I want a full fledged OS on an ultra portable. Not a slow Acer brick running XP either. There is a difference between a tablet running android, which is what I have now, and a system that allows me to edit photos and video while sipping my espresso at the coffee shop.

Plus I carry my Camelbak Mule everywhere I go. Part of the reason I got the Pentax Q. It, all it's lenses, my nook, couple of cell phones, couple of liters of water, and anything reasonable I might need for the day fits in it. An 11" Air would also fit.

No, actually I'm from a town that despises yuppieness. We didn't get a starbucks till a couple of years ago. A bunch of stoner college kids and old hippies. I'm not a hipster, nor a fanboy. I enjoy my coffee and drink lots of it. I have an espresso machine at home and make it there. But if you get out of the fanboy mindset and see back to my earlier posts, I'm a windows and linux user. I own android tablets and phones, and WinMo phones, and WP7 phones. I don't have an iPad or iPhone nor do I want a handset/tablet that I can't customize and isn't locked you into life with a certain company. And I talk to people at the coffee shop. Go to a starbucks full of glowing apples and you will see it's a status symbol. No one talking, just there to be seen. Not to socialize.

In fact I hate the company itself. I totally agree with Andy Rubin when he said that Apple is no longer an innovative company, it is now a litigative company. They are only out to stifle development by other companies through frivolous lawsuits that inhibit pioneering tech. That is the reason that when I do buy an Air, it will be used. Then my money won't go into their Sue The Competition Fund.

They do make a great packaged OS/hardware/software. I haven't had an opportunity to play with it full time on a daily basis since school 15+ years ago. I like having a general sense of multiple OS's. I have a W7 laptop that serves main duty. An old laptop running OpenSuse for business. A dedicated linux XMBC box for entertainment. Daily driver phone is android. Nook which runs stock B&N FW and a stock-esk android FW.

eh I could go but what's the point

The only innovation that apple had was the iPod, inwhich apple built ontop of that threw in a phone feature, and made it larger. I will say this about their marketing is great and their items retains most of their value.
