I wanna be up there, looking down. All that's missing is the "finger of God", but that would then veer into cliché territory. I really like this.

The pole curves slightly inward. I straightened it and it didn't work well for how the scene looked. I'll check it out again but I'm pretty sure it's the way its supposed to look. weird, but true.

Well, never one to not admit he could possibly erred in his ways. I went back to the edit and did some warp magic...and thusly it is now straight. (However, it is a photoshop fix as the pole really does bend inward.)

Well, sometimes the slight "imperfection" makes the image real. While I do understand what Deeky noted, personally, I find the first (original) version more appealing. I dunno. Sumfing 'bout poles with curves. ;-)

I agree with the slight curve.

It guides me up then across, then down the angle of the rail towards the bird, and then, I get the sense of height.

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. I like the straightened one better. I think the straight line of the light pole matches the arrow-straight lines of the bridge. That, in turn, helps separate all of it from the natural, organic lines of the eagle.

Or perhaps it's my ocd....

Very nice. Either way. The point is the overall design, which is excellent.
