Solution for keeping thousands of old photos

How do you search files using Windows so that you see keywords created by Lightroom? Doesn't the Windows search only look at the title of the file?

I would bring the drive back into LR as the source and then search by keyword.

Lots of good advise here! I've kinda put it all together and use mirror drives, backed up by Backblaze and ACD Systems Digital Asset Management. The link below where I replied on another thread has more detail. This is similar to code repositories I'm use as a software engineer.
