IO sono indeciso sul colore arancione coperta... mentre offre un bel contrasto per inquadrare il soggetto anche una distrazione. I gatti e le immagini sono eccellenti, ma preferisco la faccia.

The color of the cloth has been choosen to contrast with the eyes. It offered a more interesting color balance, brings out cats' eyes and, since it was even, I decided it wasn't such a great distraction. In the end...it's been a calculatio between risks and benefits. Cats had to stand on something and every other object (incuded the one under the cloth) would have been a major distraction without offering color balancing.

Even the paper star has been put there to balance the image. Since it's a very simple object, it brings the eyes on cat's face. Usually If I have avaibility, I put very simple objects together with the cat. A simple mug/cup, an old coloured sock, an old hat...simple objects that makes the image more interesting and, in the end, since they don't have detailed interesting parts, conveys the attention on the cat.
