My Dad has been a big F1 fan for a very long time, when we used to live in England we would always go to the F1 race and my father would work as a marshall. I get my first name after Jody Scheckter.

'77, maybe. Niki Lauda drove a Brabham-Alfa Romeo in 1978, not the #11 Ferrari. Yes, I had to look it up

Memories of bygone days. I've loved F1 for a long time but in my opinion it isn't the same as it was back in those days. Still great, but not the same.

MY step-brother got me interested back in the mid 60's. He worked for Cosworth, Ltd. and worked with a lot of the Lotus guys from time to time.

That brings back some fond memories.

I attended every practice and race from the first Long Beach race in 1975 (bikes and F5000), and F1 through the 1986 Indy Car race.

F1 has gotten so political it's become somewhat of a joke. There are so many rules it's essentially a spec series with each team having essentially the same car.
Like Indy Car, the richest teams can afford to do the car development needed to run at the front.

I'm currently re-reading Jackie Stewart's autobiography and am anticipating watching Ron Howard's movie about Niki Lauda some day soon.

I really like the shot of Lauda. It must have been amazing to see these amazing cars and drives in person. I went to the last Formula 1 race at Indy and that was an incredible experience but somehow I think it would have been better in those days. Thanks for posting these shots for everyone to see!

Yup, saw that, Fastest, Faster, both about MotoGP with Rossi.

Also Truth in 24 about Audi at Le Mans is really good and free on iTunes.

I can watch any Motorsport documentary.

Me as well. I'm a motorsports junkie, except Nascar. Can't watch it, I've tried, but not my style of racing.
