The second is beautiful, that's what popped into my head first.

The first one I like the original compared to 1b.. I prefer the colors in this one and how there is a longer path for my eye to follow to the bridge. The variant feels kind squished. Either it seems like you should be right up to the bridge or far away, the almost close to it with all the boats gives a smothered feeling.

Thank you Shadowbox. Overall, I also prefer 1 vs. 1b, although there is some cut detail on edges that slightly bothers me. Actually 1b is not a crop but a different shot (at 45mm instead of 18mm).
#2 is taken from a boat. In the lagoon, there is a channel continuously maintaineed deep for boats, and most of the rest, when low tide, is really shallow. Local people go there to pick clams (not only the shell, the alive ones) or, where deeper, cuttlefish. There was a third person doing that together with man and kid. It is funny to pass with the boat close to people almost walking in the water.
I have a series of pictures that combine that activity with a (for me) surreal feeling, perhaps I may do a different post entitled Walking on water .
