Went out into town today and took some shots!

...and you've done some work on them, too! The first one in particular is interesting from a technical perspective. You managed to keep strong sky yet avoid most of the haloing that HDR processing would generate on this type of shot. And the selective desaturation and edge burning is very effective. If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be to add some sharpening, since HDR images generally benefit from quite a bit. The second shot has issues that, given your demonstrated ability, you probably see clearly.
