thanks elsapet ., really nice to feel welcome here, and know that someone likes what I do.. Been thinking about your PJ post a lot today, and i do want to warn you about these people, be very careful about what you publish., and how you go about it.. I am sure you know what I mean.

In the Phillipines, they have military organizations, and rebels, and terrorists everywhere.. Photo Journalists are often killed for doing there thing, and I think a report said last year 40 were murdered. Of course, we are in different worlds., and things are much different up here.. but! I would just be careful.

Please keep me posted on how things go with your shoot., I would love to hear all that happens! best wishes and best of luck elsapet!

I like all of the shots, very colorful.
But 40 photojournalist killed in the Phillipines last year, that's just terrible. I saw the documentary "War Photographer" on James Nachtwey and can't believe how much photojournalist endure.

Oh, these are beautiful photos again, Raymond. I like the children enjoying their sweets best of all these, but all are well, and the jumble of power lines that lead to the houses there just makes me gasp .

All you photos not only show the life in the Philippines, they also convey a lot of atmosphere. I like that!

Yes, I was also thinking that was a hella lot of wires. Very interesting looking.

You can tell there is a lot of seriousness to most people's faces. Is that just big city seriousness, or signiture the Phillipines?

Gunderground.. the people here are noramlly very happy, easy going folks.. In 6 trips here, and travel throughout the country, I have witnessed only one confrontation.. my wife and her momma!

The Filipinas are amazing.. strong, and dedicated to their family. You will always see people laughing on the street, and poking fun. They get uptight when they see a camera, because they are shy and reserved. I honestly think the people as a nation are amazing, kind and generous., and the women there are truly wonderful.

I find it so amazing that they could make such a mess... co-operation is definately not one of their stronger points! what a nightmare there.. being technical minded, I will never understand what they are doing here, and its very hard for me to look at such a rats nest!
