Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Haven't posted in a while so figured I'd post some from my shoot on Sunday. The model was 2.5 hours late so we only had a total of an hour and 15 minutes to shoot minus time in between for wardrobe changes and hair changes.

No comments or replies? This forum has slowed down quite a bit it seems :(

I do not quite "get" what emotions or expressions this girl is trying to project, in any of these shots. The second photo has two redheads in it...are both supposed to be the same woman? And the third shot...her expression looks like a sneer of contempt...I just don't get it.

Ok I will be the first to comment.

First one is to blown out. I don't like the second and don't understand what you were trying to achieve.

The last one I do like. Good job on it.

I like the composition of the third, even if it goes against convention.

Really? Maybe you just haven't yet learned how to use it in the proper way.

These are fairly boring. Maybe they wouldn't be if we knew more about the situation, what you were trying to do, etc, etc.

As Derrel said, "I just don't get it."

Maybe you care to give us a clue...

There were supposed to be 5 shots. It was supposed to be a story about a lost girl finding herself. Thus the first one is supposed to be a girl almost lost and realizing something is missing. The middle 3 pictures were supposed to be her "finding" herself. It was hard to capture this with only one picture, but I did the best I could with the given time. One was supposed to be scared, another lost, another kind of finding herself. And the last picture is supposed to be bright, proud, beautiful, colorful, powerful, as if she has found herself.

The shoot was just SO rushed that I wasn't able to accomplish what I wanted to.
As far as the first shot, maybe its your monitor, but it doesn't look overexposed on my Imac at all. The first picture is my favorite by far. I realize the second picture is kind of confusing and am not a huge fan of it myself.

The first one is not blown out at all. Actully the first one is my fav. Great mood. To be honest i think photographically all the shots look great. The model on the other hand not so good and a late model would never be used again for me.

I think the first one is really nice, i love it.
i dont like her expression in the second one. it kills the shot really bad hahah
the 3rd remind me of an advertisement banner for websites but thats bout it

the lightning on your shots is pretty good though.

Technically, I don't like that the grain is blocking the upper right portion of the frame as much as it is in the first one and the second one you can see light from your strobe on her glasses. I like the lighting though. What equipment are you using?

Yeah, I can't possibly get that story out of what you've got up there. Though, I really like the first one, if there was a little bit LESS of the grass masking her in the foreground, I would love it. I like the feeling and idea of number 3, but I'm not a fan of the crop. And #2, I do. not. get. At all. Even with your explanation, I'm all "OK, what happened to her jacket? Is she having a seizure?", in the context of storytelling, it doesn't. Your technical execution is good, almost great, but story wise it makes my brain bleed a little.
