Some pictures I had passed up sharing previously for varying reasons, but still good enough to share. This storm needs to pass, I'm getting WAY too bored ;)

Anyone have an ID on this guy? I was waiting to post until I could ID it, but have had no luck. The closest I could come up with is a Ruddy Turnstone, but according to birding sites they shouldn't be anywhere near here. Similar to a Killdeer, no stripes, and smaller:

Rare successful insect photo. I love how my sigma can do macro, but I really stink at it. Almost always miss focus:

Our necks are long too!

Would have been great if he was facing me:

Wow! These are amazing! :) Very inspiring

I just love those Heron's you have, the blues and the red eyes are amazing to see. Those are stunning and nice shots. Head on, well we all have that issue and I have a ton of butt shots to prove it :). The angle on that one is just right before it doesn't work, not too bad at all. The Cabbage white butterfly is focused bang on the eyes and showing good details. Not a bad lens for that by the looks.

All the best up your way.

Danny.

Big fan of #4, specially because I've been trying to get that shot for a while. These birds fly just above the water surface, and I wanted a shot where the reflections were clear. masterfully done. :)
