Even though this doesn't have the VR and AF that my 18-55 kit lens has I suspect this lens might subsume it in many bases

I also got a Sigma 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 DL Macro Super Lens which I'll hopefully try out this weekend when I can use it outside
