Great pictures! What lens do you use? Does it have a hard time focusing with so little contrast between subject and background?

Great pictures! What lens do you use? Does it have a hard time focusing with so little contrast between subject and background?

Canon 400mm 5.6 and canon 80d. it does have a bit of trouble but not normally because of the background. i normally shoot for the chest of the female snowies as it has more contrast. On the males (the white one) i shoot for the beak or eye as it has the best contrast to focus on.
