What's up guys new to the forum and just got my first dslr I got a Sony a230 am in love with this camera I personally think is awesome am just new to the dslr scene and don't kno a whole lot on them yet right now am shooting standard what does everybody use jpeg and raw? Amd how do I adjust my shutter speed and are there any descent lenses out there under$150? Any advice helps thanx

i use jpg, although i edit a lot of my work before posting, i dont like RAW because there are more steps involved before you can publish the final result. you have to read the manual to know how to adjust the shutter speed (just make sure the cam isnt in auto mode). i doubt you can find any decent lens under 150.... maybe the 18-55mm or 50mm prime. but the 18-55 really isnt that good.....

I only shoot RAW ... I want the unprocessed image to archive ... then change it after to what is suitable.

I do have a Sigma AF 75-200 f2.8-3.5 ... but I am NOT selling that as it is a sharp bright lens (this lens was highly under-rated) and difficult to find.

Ok thanx ill look around am trying to get a few items for the a230 including a bag but need one that holds a labtop as well.
