Sony A77

Is this the flagship? I was in the mall this afternoon, stopped in the Sony store and picked up an A77. I had no idea how to operate it! It's a spaceship from the outer limits! Electronic viewfinder had lots of lights and boxes and things I have no idea. It looked like a modern marvel of science. It was very light compared to the D700, that's for sure.

I think Sony have no current full frame. That's a crop sensor camera probably explaining why its light. By most non anti Sony reviews its a fine bit of kit. No optical viewfinder though

Sonys DSLRs are discontinued.

If you want to get one, make sure you also get any lens you ever might need for it.

1) that I couldn't figure out how that darn thing worked.
2) how high-tech it 'looked' in comparison.
3) 12FPS, uh wow.

umm. what? you do know the SLT's use the same Minolta mount as the true optical SLR's, right?
