Sony rx100 vi issues

Hey guys. Wondering if you can help me here. Two issues have risen that stand out more than the tiny ones.

I was using the camera and after taking a photo the direction wheel and lens ring both turned into aperture controls. Played around with it for a bit thinking it was setting and ended up turning it off and back on and it fixed the glitch.

Tonight I was taking a portrait shot. Dialed my shutter down and upon doing so the screen froze a second and had lines all up and down it like an old TV. The lens retracted and the camera restarted and then all was well.

Is this a firmware issue where they'll update it and all will be well type issue or is it more of a send the camera back issue.

I guess it needs to be sent back. Disappointing

Did you buy a cheap, crappy, SD card? Buy the recommended card if so. These new cameras have to have fast, high quality SD cards. If your putting in old, or drug store type cards, your gonna get bit. Buy the best card you can.

Lexar professional 150 mb/s 16gb sdhc card is what I was using. Bought from camera store.

There's better out there, but those are very good memory cards. Highly doubt that's the issue. Bummer. Hope you figure it out.

Edit: Guessing you've already tried several cards?

I don't think cards are the issue. I think it's a firmware issue specific to that camera. It's on its way back to the store. I'll update when I hear more.

The camera will be to me tomorrow. They are sending me A brand new one. I also ordered a new Sony battery, wall charger, peak leash strap and a manfrotto pixi Evo 2
