Astrophotography project 2 of 2 from the last three nights of clear skies, the Soul Nebula, IC 1848! The Soul Nebula is near the Heart Nebula, between the constellations Cassiopeia and Camelopardalis. This is a large target, so i had to shoot this as a two panel mosaic (panorama) because it wouldnt fit in the field of view of a single frame. The two panels were then stitched together to make the final image. The second image is the same as the first, but converted to an SHO color pallet to showcase the different gasses. I wish I didn't have to reduce the image size for posting, because the full res image has a ton of neat detail in it.
