Help needed from folk in Iowa
Drawing 1
Drawing 2
Experimenting to give images suitable for reproduction in the book on the church.
There are tiles - I presume from benefactors in memory of friends and relations . This is a sign of the lean times in farming in East Anglia as this chap emigrated to Iowa about 1810. Can any of you make out where his farm was so I can google it?
I liked this one by the organ with the music staves.
The tiles vary in age and form part of local history lasting better than the gravestones outside.
1857 Letter asking for a parish rate of 2/6p (about 25c in todays money) towards the building of the church and graveyard.
Whilst this grumpy old chap looks down from above.
Just a few of the many images i was taking in freexzing conditions!
