The colored one looks flat to me.

Black and White conversion for me. The BW conversion brings the sky out and makes makes a significant correlation with the layers of hills/mountains - it gives a heavier impression too as the BW brings out the lines.

Thanks for the critique everyone. Camz, I'm up in Novato... The photo was taken from the top of Mount Burdell looking south over the local ranges. The tallest mountain in the back is Mount Tamalpais.

Love that area! A quick summit drive to Mt Tamalpias and head down to Muir Woods for a picnic and wine - that'll make my day for sure

I was actually just at Sonoma for a wedding in November. I'm currently in San Ramon, but I grew up in the Hayward/San Leandro Area.

I feel a bit of noise in such images saves them from being too flat
