I think this is a good picture that could have been great

One problem I have with it would have been extremely hard to avoid. I can see you in the reflection. I don't mind seeing people, but seeing the photographer kind of kills it for me. The only other problem I see with it is the top and bottom of the engine shroud (note: I am not real knowledgeable about airplane anatomy so I might be using the wrong term) were cut off. I think it might have looked better if the full circle were there.

It's the engine cowling. Maybe if it was a wider shot, it would have distracted from the subject. Love the chrome on the '57 Chevy.

You're right, it might have thrown the composition way off. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, and unless I stop a buss the hard way tomorrow it wouldn't be the last

Cool image, but wish the reflection was not...well...this reflection. But as a man I am obligated to like anything made of chrome, pictures of chrome, even words with c-h-r-o-m-e in them.

I see pictures of convex reflecting surfaces every now and then, but I don't understand why seeing the photographer's reflection is such a bad thing. Here we seet he photographer's reflection in two surfaces, and in my mind it may have been one of if not the main reason he took the picture. I'm sure some other reflection pictures fully intended to capture the photographer's reflection, and some have even said so. Apparently other people's reflections are not the same problem, but why?

Now to crit the photo: It is too bad the propeller wasn't at a different angle, because I would like to have seen the same clouds reflected in the two convex surfaces without the prop being in the way. This might have been a good choice for HDR with all that engine in the shade. I like it.

I like the shot in general, you did an excellent job of capturing the fact that it is a Crome surface, that comes tough as if it were Crome applied to the picture it self, I agree it would look nice as a HDR. You may want to make an attempt at cloning out the people and the retaining barrier, that for me is very distracting and takes away would otherwise be a very nice shot.
