Spooked Each Other

This past weekend I was riding along on my bike when a deer suddenly ran out from the woods to the edge of the road. It and I quickly slowed to a stop and looked at each other for just a moment, and both looking a little spooked. I then made a u-turn and rode away from it to show it I wasn't a threat, in hopes of it not running away. I got lucky, I'd rode about 10 m back and it had stayed in place until the other deer had caught up to it. I managed a few shots of it crossing the road and a few of them after I followed them for about 40 m into the woods. My only regret was there not being more light.
