Spotted Hyena-part 1

Still have quite a few pictures to edit from my last trip to Africa, but I've finished these today. We came across this pack of Hyenas having some fun in this pool of water. Was the 1st time I've seen them playing around in water. The lead female was just laying around the edge of the pool chilling. These guys get a bad rap, but they are lovely animals.

#1 Probably some females (ranked higher than the males). The one on the right still has part of snare around its neck. The ranger called for help and they were going to dart it to remove the snare.

#2 Can't blame her really. Was extremely hot.

#3 Pretty old animal, probably in the process of breast feeding the pups.

#4 Most powerful jaws of any land mammal. They seemed to enjoy the water allot.
