Spotting prints?

Can't you just wash the negs again with some photo-flo to get rid of the dust?
And give them a good blow when putting in the enlarger. For 35mm I would recomend getting neg holders without glasses, this will help printing without white spots.

finger prints?! Yikes! That's a TOUGH one.

I agree... try to clean your neg and re-print.

If the dust got onto the negs when they were drying then nothing will shift it - certainly not re-washing. It is stuck to the emulsion permanently. This is why prevention is better than cure and cleanliness needs to become a religion.
