Just got my new 7D yesterday, took for a spin the last couple days now.

Wanna know what you all think of this shot:

1/1000 f/5.6 ISO-3200 at 135mm (kit lens)

This is also post production, played around with the levels and color and what not, cropped it, using rule of thirds, I think :/, will gladly share original if requested:

Nice pic! I like the tail in focus! As for the rule of thirds... well... not sure what you mean... the squirrel is pretty much centered... maybe if you do a different crop adding some space to one of the sides

Thanks! not sure what I mean either lol

Also, I don't have a calibrated monitor, do you? Do the colors look good on your monitor?

Nice shot - thanks for sharing. I do have a calibrated monitor and the colours look okay to me. As far as the rule of thirds goes, there is nothing wrong with having the object of the photgraph, in this case the squirrel, centred in the image, particularly when he is looking right at you as this guy appears to be. If he was looking right or left, then I the rule of thirds would make for a better composition by having the squirrel on the left or right side of the image.

Oh no, I totally agree there's nothing wrong with a centered subject and, in this particular case, it works pretty good.
