Squirrel Eating Walnut

Couldn't decide if I liked the color or b&w better, so you get both. This was shot at 1/160 with an OCF at 1/4. I'd really love to get a 70-200mm f/2.8...

Color! I wish the tail had more breathing room. I think a tighter crop would work better also.

Agree, either crop more off the left or give more room behind IMO but more off the top and left is preferable I think. I like the B&W but the color is ok too.

Yeah, I'll play with the crop. I did crop it in slightly on the right side of the pic, so I have a little room for the tail there. Just had trouble matching the processing in the attached, I had messed around with it after I posted and lost the settings I ended up with.

I'm a bit disappointed with the IQ. I was shooting at 800 and 1000iso and the camera was on a tripod and shooting at 1/160 with a flash firing. The exposure came out well (although I wanted less of the background lit), but the image is really graining and not as sharp as I was hoping for.

Also I really need a better monitor at home, as it does look a lot better here at work.
