Sri Lanka, what a Country

So was lucky enough to go to Sri Lanka back in April (belated Hooneymoon) with the Wife, bless her she allowed me to head out from time to time to have my very own photographic adventure (she was happy enough at the pool with a mutitude of cocktails).
Ill give a description of what I was aiming for below each photo, suggested improvments and or comments would be highly appreciated.

I was trying to get the feeling of how endless this beach was (roughly 10 kilometers), sand is partially made of granite creating black sand (and very hot).

Attempting to show how the granite rock wasslowely erroding and being washed up on to the beach creating the stunning black and white sands and how the contrasting difference between the sand, sea and sky comlimented each other.

Although this was a goverment / charity ran Elephant orphanage, this young fella just seemed so sad at having to be penned up for a few hours whilst it posed for tourists (dont worry it got to play in the river for 4 hours afterwards).
