St. Anthony is located near the northern tip of Newfoundland. I spent two nights there...mostly because I was interested in visiting the nearby L'Anse aux Meadows. L'Anse aux Meadows is an archaeological site, a National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is the only authenticated Norse site in North America.

I will share my L'Anse aux Meadows photographs in a separate posting. The following images are from my time in St. Anthony itself.

6- Dr. Wilfred Grenfell statue...the name of Dr. Grenfell is still seen throughout St. Anthony. In fact, I spent two nights at the Grenfell Heritage Hotel and Suites. Dr. Grenfell was said to be the first doctor to reach the region. He would later establish a string of hospitals, cooperatives and schools for the people in this vast area. He initiated health care services for the more than thirty thousand residents in Northern Newfoundland and Southern Labrador.

Wonderful set, makes me want to get out of town.

Glenn, you've got enough pics from this trip for a very nice coffee table book. :)

Some very interesting shots.......
Thank you, Jeff

Thanks...I'm starting to get the itch to travel again. But, I would really like to finish processing these pictures first!

Thank you, Jeff. Every year, I create a coffee table type book of the my favorite photographs from the past year. This year, I plan to create one that covers this road trip. The book is just for personal enjoyment--and I give out a couple of them to family members as gifts.

I hate Glenn's threads- they make me feel so jealous! You got the skillz, bro. Very nice.
