Star trails

Stayed up pretty late taking these photos. I had to do it manually because my point and shoot didn't have a bulb mode. Sat there for ever clicking the shutter over and over, but it was worth it... to me at least. I did 30 sec exposures at iso 200. I cant wait to save up for a Dslr so I can expand with this. Tried to capture a little bit of the sun set in the last photo kinda failed though. Although it kinda distracts the eye but if you look closely you can see where the fire flies flew around in the last photo, and I love that for some reason. It was a lovely night though and a great memory. I guess camera position could have been changed, so the trees would look a little better, but tell me what you think. Thanks alot!!

I can't see the trees. Only about 12 or so dotted trails.
What camera are you using for it?
30 seconds should be lighting up the foreground a little at least.

Oh wow they are hard to see. I was using a
SONY DSC-H300, looks a lot brighter on my computer. And ikr 30 seconds should be enough I didn't do anything to them when I stacked them in Photoshop. I would have increased the iso, but the noise was horrible even at 400.

I'm surprised you got that much honestly -- usually have to have the lens open and crank the ISO to get much with stars. I'm a pretty big noob at this myself, but it took me getting very far away from outside light and 20 s/2500ISO/F1.4 to get this...



You'll probably need to open up the ISO quite a bit to get what you are looking for.

Wow thats beautiful!!! I wanted to increase the iso but i couldn't because the noise was super high. And i dot have a dslr but im saving up.
