Starling and Herring Gull youngsters

Have taken very few bird / nature pictures but thought I'd have a go today on the evening beach walk, these two are almost adult and were busy harassing their parents for food.

Olympus EPL8 with an old adapted OM-Zuiko 75-150mm f4 lens.

I actually really like that first shot. No clue what kind of bird it is, but I love the color especially against the water. Having the small pebbles in the foreground adds to it. Nice for a non-birder

Thank you, Re the Starling, yes, they look so plain from a distance but are quite iridescent up close.
